The climate is Mediterranean. Dominated by humid, easterly winds in summer and cold and dry northerly winds, mainly Mistral in spring and winter, these winds funnel up to our vineyards via the nearby Ebro river basin. Rainfall is scarce, between 350 and 500 litres per year and is most abundant in autumn and spring. The temperatures are high in summer and mild in spring.
This microclimate slows the growth cycle of the plant and helps to ripen the grapes more slowly, expressing the Grenache (Garnatxa in Catalan) variety to the full.
