The vineyards are surrounded by rock formations topped by the sheer limestone cliffs of the Catalan Coastal Range and cover a surface area of 10 Hectares (24 acres) of which 80% are planted with Grenache (Garnatxa in Catalan).
It is worth highlighting the fact that 2 hectares (4 acres) of these vines are old vine Grenache (Garnatxa Peluda) which are native to Tarragona and very scarce in the world. These very low yielding vineyards are all farmed organically. They make up a mosaic of plots in the form of dry stone terraces at different heights and mainly north-south facing vineyards, distributed in five zones according to soil type.
